Sayuri

Sayuri began her career as a resident DJ at DESTINATION and, in July 2009, became a writer for DESTINATION MAGAZINE, a free paper and creative magazine launched by the DESTINATION crew. Since then, she has remained active across a wide range of events, from intimate underground gatherings to larger-scale parties, while also appearing on platforms such as DOMMUNE and supporting numerous international artists.

Known for her groove-oriented style, Sayuri seamlessly incorporates a broad spectrum of sounds, including house, techno, low-beat, broken beat, and electro. Her selections are carefully tailored to the atmosphere, time, and setting of each event, allowing her to create unique musical journeys on every dancefloor.

Currently based in Tokyo, she plays regularly at Broken Beats Sakaba at BALL and CONTEXTFORCE at Fs, while maintaining a sound rooted in deep and soulful house music.

She has supported renowned international artists including Osunlade, Timmy Regisford, Kim Lightfoot, Kiko Navarro, Jerome Sydenham, and Dekmantel Soundsystem, and has contributed DJ mixes to platforms in Hong Kong and Switzerland.

Today, she co-hosts the monthly party Prisma with Dazzle Drums at NUMM, held every second Sunday of the month.

Showcasing the very fundamentals of dance music, Sayuri’s sets embody a rare balance of power and warmth, offering a deeply human and uplifting dancefloor experience.
