YOSHI KANOU relocated from Osaka to Tokyo in 2002, where he began his career as both a DJ and event organiser. Today, he performs primarily across Europe while remaining active throughout Japan and Asia. Over a career spanning more than 20 years, he has performed in over 30 cities across 20 countries, developing a distinctive DJ style deeply influenced by Berlin's underground electronic music scene.

At the height of his touring schedule, YOSHI played more than 250 shows a year, refining his exceptional mixing technique while cultivating a unique musical philosophy and artistic vision. His emotionally rich, story-driven sets have captivated audiences around the world with their distinctive atmosphere and expressive flow.

Following his first international performance in Hollywood, Los Angeles, in 2008, he embarked on his first European tour in 2010, performing in Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Since 2011, he has toured Europe annually, expanded into Asia in 2012, and in 2013 became one of the few Japanese DJs to perform at Berlin's legendary techno institution, Tresor. His international journey continued with appearances at Thailand's iconic Full Moon Party in 2015, followed by performances in Goa, India, in 2016, and the Mediterranean island nation of Malta in 2017.

Although his world tours were suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, YOSHI resumed touring Europe in June 2022. In 2024, he embarked on his first African tour, further expanding his global presence.

Driven by a constant pursuit of new inspiration and authentic cultural experiences, YOSHI has always kept his focus on the international stage. In August 2023, he founded GIA VALANCE JP LLC, expanding his activities beyond performance to include discovering, developing, and supporting DJs and artists with global potential.
